Canucks Make Roster Move, Send Silovs to AHL
Vancouver Sending Goaltender to Abbotsford
The Vancouver Canucks have assigned goaltender Arturs Silovs to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Abbotsford Canucks. The move was announced by the team on Monday.
Trade Deadline Rumors
The Canucks are reportedly interested in acquiring forwards Jake Guentzel of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Tyler Toffoli of the Montreal Canadiens, and Jordan Greenway of the Minnesota Wild. However, no trades have been confirmed at this time.
Lekkerimäki Update
Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin provided an update on prospect Jonathan Lekkerimäki, who is expected to make his NHL debut this season. Allvin said Lekkerimäki will be called up for the final few games of the regular season.
Division Clinched
The Canucks clinched the Pacific Division on Saturday night with a 4-1 victory over the Calgary Flames on Fan Appreciation Night. Elias Pettersson scored a goal and added two assists to lead the way for Vancouver.
