Coy Robbins Wins Inaugural PBR Canada Touring Pro Division Event

On the Road to the PBR World Finals

Coy Robbins is on a roll. The 24-year-old bull rider from Shellbrook, Saskatchewan, won the first-ever PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Canada Touring Pro Division event in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, on Saturday, July 23, 2023. The victory earned him $7,500 and 100 world points.

Robbins, who is currently ranked 56th in the PBR world standings, was one of 30 riders who competed in the two-day event. He rode three out of four bulls and finished with a total score of 175.5 points.

PBR Canada Touring Pro Division

The PBR Canada Touring Pro Division is a new series that was created to give Canadian bull riders a chance to compete closer to home. The series consists of 10 events that will be held throughout Canada from May to September. The top 10 riders in the series standings at the end of the season will qualify for the PBR Canada Finals, which will be held in Edmonton, Alberta, in October.

Robbins' win in Kindersley is a big step towards qualifying for the PBR Canada Finals. He is now third in the series standings with 200 points. The top 10 riders in the standings as of July 23 are:

  3. Coy Robbins (200 points)
  4. Zane Lambert (160 points)
  5. Jared Parsonage (120 points)
  6. Colten Jesse (110 points)

  9. Brock Radford (80 points)
  10. Lonnie West (70 points)

The next event on the PBR Canada Touring Pro Division schedule is in Lethbridge, Alberta, on August 5-6.
